WHAT IS FMAE?
FMAE is the abbreviated form of Fraternity of Mechanical and Automotive Engineers. We are an organization conducting automobile design challenges for students pursuing UG/Diploma courses all over the country.
WHO CONSTITUTE AS THE OFFICIALS OF FMAE?
Reputed delegates from various automobile and mechanical companies and prominent educational experts renowned throughout the nation constitute as the officials of FMAE.
WHY SHOULD I CHOOSE FMAE?
We cannot give you any such reason to declare prominence. But we guarantee a fruitful phase of learning and gaining valuable knowledge in manufacturing motorsport vehicles. HOW CAN I PARTICIPATE IN THE EVENTS ORGANISED BY FMAE?
If you are a UG/Diploma pursuing undergraduate, you can simply register with us for participating in our events by filling up the online form and following the payment procedure. Once it is done, you will be receiving a confirmatory E-Mail. You can further subscribe with us in order to receive regular updates about new design challenges, initiatives and all the desired information.
WHO CAN PARTICIPATE IN FMAE’S EVENTS/DESIGN CHALLENGES?
All the UG/Diploma pursuing students are eligible to participate in the events/design challenges organized by FMAE.
DO YOU HAVE ANY EVENTS/DESIGN CHALLENGES SCHEDULED IN YOUR TIMELINE TO BE CONDUCTED FOR PG STUDENTS?
No, we do not have any planned out event/design challenge for P.G. students.
DO I REQUIRE MEMBERSHIP IN ORDER TO PARTICIPATE IN THE EVENTS ORGANIZED BY FMAE?
No. You do not need to have any prior membership in order to participate at our events/design challenges.
I HAVE COMPLETED MY UNDERGRADUATE DEGREE. HOW CAN I BE A PART OF THE EVENTS/DESIGN CHALLENGES ORGANIZED BY FMAE?
You can be a part of the events/design challenges organized by FMAE but not as a participant. You can be the technical committee member, educational advisor or volunteer for the events/design challenges organized by FMAE.
DOES FMAE PROVIDE ANY INTERNSHIP OR TRAINING FOR UG/DIPLOMA STUDENTS?
Yes, FMAE provides internship and training facilities to both new and old UG/Diploma pursuing students upon request.

WHERE CAN I FIND THE RULES AND REGULATIONS THAT NEED TO BE FOLLOWED TO PARTICIPATE IN FMAE’S EVENTS/DESIGN CHALLENGES?
You can find the rules and regulations to be followed in the downloads tab. You can download the file from the link provided in the download tab. The file will contain all the rules and regulations.
DO THE RULES CHANGE EVERY YEAR?
A change in a particular rule is subject to the need of the hour of amendment in the existing rules or addition of new rules. The FMAE board of executives conduct a meeting every year after the completion of a particular event/design challenge and come to a unanimous decision about whether a particular event/design challenge required addition or amendment of rules.
CAN AN INDIVIDUAL STUDENT PARTICIPATE IN THE EVENTS/DESIGN CHALLENGES ORGANIZED BY FMAE?
No, it would be highly impossible for an individual to participate in the events/design challenges organized by FMAE. The project that needs to be completed in order to compete in the event/design challenge needs team work. It is not a thing to be done by a single entity.
WHAT SHOULD BE THE MINIMUM AND MAXIMUM TEAM STRENGTH TO COMPETE IN THE DESIGN CHALLENGES ORGANIZED BY FMAE?
The minimum numbers of members that need to enroll in a team are 12. Their is no maximum limit.
IS THERE A PROVISION TO CHANGE OR REPLACE A REGISTERED MEMBER DURING THE COURSE OF THE EVENT?
Yes, you can change or replace any member from your team. This option could be availed only when the ‘Team Editing Portal’ is opened. The portal will be opened once during the entire course of a season. The teams can change the team members when the portal is declared open.
WHAT IS THE ROLE OF TEAM CAPTAIN OR TEAM MANAGER?
Team Captain and Team Manager play a vital role in the team. The team manager is the one who will be in direct contact with the organizers. It is the duty of the team captain to ensure that all the information is being imparted to the team regularly. The team captain has to lead the team.
WHAT ARE THE RESPONSIBILITIES OF FACULTY ADVISORS?
Faculty advisors are allowed to guide the team by giving them tips and tricks in manufacturing the vehicle. However, the faculty advisor is strictly prohibited from getting involved directly in manufacturing.
ARE THERE ANY EXTERNAL OR INTERNAL MANDATORY PAYMENTS APART FROM THE REGISTRATION FEE?
No, there will not be any external or internal mandatory payments apart from the registration fee.
CAN I PAY MY REGISTRATION AMOUNT THROUGH MY PERSONAL ACCOUNT?
Yes, you are liable to pay the registration fee amount from your personal account.
WHAT IF I AM UNABLE TO DEPOSIT THE REGISTRATION AMOUNT ON TIME?
If any team is unable to pay the registration amount on time, the team will be shifted to the bottom of waiting list. That empty slot will be given to the team which will be on the top of waiting list.

IS IT COMPULSORY TO COMPLY WITH THE POLICIES MENTIONED IN FMAE’S WEBSITE IN ORDER TO BE A PART OF FMAE’S EVENTS/DESIGN CHALLENGES?
